Day four began with a very long line at the Musee D’Orsay, where many of the French impressionist paintings are displayed. It was well worth the wait! The building itself, a former train station, is a work of art. So much beauty in one building. We spent most of the morning and early afternoon enjoying the works of Van Gogh, Monet, Gaugin, Manet, Seurat and many, others.
Because we spent so much time there, we decided to skip Versailles (I know!) and we went back to Montmartre for some food and souvenir shopping.
Now, we are all packed and ready for our flight to Rome in the morning.
By the way, Have I mentioned how much wine we’ve been drinking? LOTS!! Vive La France!
